My Rating: āāā
š¦ Itās been a while but I did enjoy reading It Ends with Us, so I had to buy thisā¦ š³
š¦ If IEWU was more like a fiery love between Lily and Ryle and the sudden dent in their marriage as Ryle started to get violent toward Lily, ISWU is more like Lily finally moving on and repairing her sense of love with Atlas.
š¦ At one point, Lily bumps into Atlas Corrigan, whom she cannot forget not only as an ex-boyfriend but as a person who was a huge part of her teenage years. Away from Ryleās violence, Lily takes refuge in Atlas while growing her daughter, Emerson. And more than a year after her divorce, Lily is deeply falling again into an irresistible love with Atlas. And not gonna lie, heās so freaking romantic. Especially, I enjoyed reading his letters to Lily. Also, I was so glad that Lily was finally strong and resilient enough to know her worth and set boundaries with Ryle while allowing herself to receive the love she deserves from Atlas.
š¦ But the thing is... Iāve watched some videos that criticize Colleen Hoover as an author in the middle of reading and it certainly affected me!! š I couldn't have the same experience while reading as my perspective took a drastic change. But I already bought her āVerityā too, which I will have to read soon.
š¦ Overall, not a bad book, but personally, I would have loved it more if their love was not so... physical. Maybe I was sort of expecting a deeper spiritual connection between Atlas and Lily since it was all physical relationship with Ryle. I donāt know, just my personal preferenceā¦ š¤·āāļø
